It's looking like it will pan out that way. In fact, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will work alongside the Google Self-Driving Car Project to integrate self-driving software and sensors into the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The result could mean a safer road and more accessible means of transportation for those who can no longer drive because of disabilities and other factors.

“Working with Google provides an opportunity for FCA to partner with one of the world’s leading technology companies to accelerate the pace of innovation in the automotive industry,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chief Executive Officer, FCA in a press release. “The experience both companies gain will be fundamental to delivering automotive technology solutions that ultimately have far-reaching consumer benefits.”

While this project is solely intended for testing, it does appear to be beneficial to both parties even if we won't be able to sit passenger in a Chrysler Pacifica. Don't worry, we have a ton of other great options available at our showroom. Explore our new inventory and pre-owned inventory today.
