For the 2022 model year, Jeep is releasing two new SUVs called the Grand Wagoneer and the Wagoneer. The Wagoneer is an all-new SUV that is a close cousin of the Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer is the larger and more luxurious of the two models. The 2022 Grand Wagoneer marks the return of the flagship luxury SUV called the Grand Wagoneer produced through the 1990s. The newest Grand Wagoneer gets an entirely new look from its predecessor. It also sports the latest in comfort, infotainment, and performance capabilities.
Performance
One engine covers the Grand Wagoneer lineup for 2022. The Jeep’s engine is a V8 with a 6.4L displacement. Powered by this engine, the Grand Wagoneer can produce 471 HP, and its maximum torque output reaches 455 LB-FT. The Grand Wagoneer also has an adjustable air suspension system for a smoother and more comfortable ride. Four-wheel drive is standard with the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. The Jeep Wagoneer also has a V8 engine, but its engine has a 5.7L displacement instead. The Wagoneer’s engine is capable of 392 HP and just over 400 LB-FT in torque. It also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Wagoneer’s gasoline engine is paired to a 48V mild hybrid system. Its strong engine gives the Wagoneer class-leading tow ratings of 10,000 pounds.
Appearance
The 2022 Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer both have large frames with some classic Jeep styling elements and their unique exterior accents. LED headlights are standard on both models, as are LED taillights in the back. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer both feature chrome-accented front grilles and chrome accents, along with their exteriors. Roof rails are added to the top trim levels, and both models have high wheel arches. Custom badges give the Grand Wagoneer and Wagoneer a distinctive finish.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable and well-equipped cabin in both Jeep models. The Grand Wagoneer offers an impressive total of four screens in the front, including a 12-inch digital display cluster, a dual 12-inch and 10.25-inch central display system, and a separate 10-inch screen that controls the cabin temperature and seat heat settings. The Grand Wagoneer can also be outfitted with a McIntosh stereo system with 23 speakers. The Wagoneer comes with a 10-inch central display screen and plenty of storage space with up to 116 cubic feet in the trunk. The Wagoneer also has a separate 10.25-inch digital display cluster and the latest Uconnect 5 technology.
